Rod building has fascinated me since I finished my apprenticeship. With a hiatus from 2000 to 2008 I am building rods since 1979. I developed special rods for tournament casting and for fly fishermen. The Solitip idea spread like wildfire in the 80th - 90th and soon found enthusiastic buyers. Over 500 of the nearly legendary Far&Fast Solitip were manufactured specially handcrafted and are partly still in use today. This type of fly rod set new standards in regards of sensitivity and resilience that has not been achieved to date by other manufacturers. That alone was the reason why I have decided in 2008, to start a comeback and the reaction of flyfishers tells me that it was a good idea. Yes, I build rods again, and because everything must have a name (but mine is just too long ...) under the brand...
And one more thing... I know my English is far away from perfect and in order to get the whole content of my German site into English as fast as possible I use the Google language tool at the moment. I'm sure some sequences of this text sound funny. So you are allowed to laugh or you can help to improve the content.
